During the visit to the Turkmen capital Assunta Testa, European Commission Project Manager was received at the Ministry of Labour and Social Security of Turkmenistan.

A lively discussion focused on the prospects for developing partnership and the possibilities to implement joint projects. Underlining the effectiveness of the Turkmenistan-European Commission dialogue, Mrs. Assunta Testa emphasized that the European Union attached considerable significance to cooperation with the Turkmen state in mutual interests. Discussing the current state and prospects of partnership in a number of key fields, the meeting participants reaffirmed that the sides were interested in enhancing effective bilateral collaboration.

The programme of the EC representative’s visit includes the meetings at the Ministry of Finance and the Ministry of Economic and Development. The sides will consider the issues related to further cooperation under the EC project “Implementation and Management Support Office of the EU Technical Assistance Programmes in Turkmenistan”.

A visit of the European Commission Project Manager to Turkmenbashi town is scheduled. The guest will visit the Avaza national tourism zone on the Caspian seashore and one of local secondary schools.

It is expected that Mrs. Assunta Testa will visit Turkmenabat where she will visit one of local secondary schools.
