On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Vice Premier B. Hojamuhammedov in charge of the oil and gas sector held the meetings with the heads of a number of foreign delegations and world-known companies which were participating in the Oil and Gas of Turkmenistan-2001 International Exhibition and the International Conference on the Development of the Oil and Gas Industry for 20 Years of Independence and the prospects of International Cooperation.
Among the guests received were the representatives of the Europa House EU-funded Project, Shell Exploration & Production and ЕxxonMobil (US), RWE Suppy & Trading (Germany), Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) и Eurasia Drilling Company (Russia).
The talks with top managers of international companies and corporations, including Gazprom Public Corporation (Russia), the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), LG International (Republic of Korea), ConocoPhillips and Hyperdynamics (US), Dеwey & Le Boeuf и CGG Veritas (France), GARO and Tecnint (Italy), Technip MMHE-TPGM SDN. BHD (Malaysia) and the others were held on October 16.
A substantive exchange of views on a wide range of issues related to cooperation in the oil and gas industry took place during the meetings. The guests expressed profound interest in enhancing and strengthening collaboration with Turkmenistan that had put forward a number of the ambitious initiatives to effectively implement its tremendous energy potential in common interests.
