On the instructions of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdyeva received credentials from Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Federative Republic of Brazil Osvaldo Biato Junior.
On behalf of the leader of the Turkmen leader the head of the Turkmen Parliament congratulated the guest on the start of the diplomatic mission to Turkmenistan and wished every success in strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
Highly evaluating Turkmenistan’s achievements, the Brazilian diplomat conveyed the best wishes of the leadership of his country to the Turkmen people and their leader, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov under whose leadership Turkmenistan had gained outstanding achievements.
During the meeting the guest was briefed on major aspects of the domestic and foreign policies of Turkmenistan and major aims and objectives of the large-scale reforms launched in the country on the initiative of the Turkmen leader. The Brazilian diplomat was informed of key areas of activity of the Turkmen Parliament and the ongoing legal reform.
Emphasis was placed on the mutual keen interest and willingness to enhance the interstate dialogue which had the profound potential as well as on the importance of enhancement of trade, economic and humanitarian Turkmen-Brazilian cooperation in the bi- and multi-lateral format, including within the dialogue between Turkmenistan and Latin America.
At the conclusion of the meeting the diplomat assured that he would apply every effort to promote the fruitful dialogue between Turkmenistan and Brazil and strengthen further the ties of friendship between the two peoples.
