A meeting with parliamentarians from the Republic of Tajikistan was held at the Mejlis of Turkmenistan. An exchange of views on the prospects for bilateral cooperation, particularly for strengthening inter-parliamentary contacts took place during the meeting.
The guests were briefed on the major activities the Turkmen Parliament carried out to promote the legal reform in the country. In their turn the Tajik deputies informed of the structure and role of the Majlisi Oli, the supreme representative and legislative body of the Republic of Tajikistan.
It was noted that in recent years Turkmen-Tajik relations had been given a powerful impetus to develop. The high dynamics of the interstate dialogue allowed building up multifaceted partnership
