In accordance with the Order of the President of Turkmenistan Vice Premier N. Shagulyev will participate in an informal meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of State which will be held in Moscow, the Russian Federation on December 19-20, 2011.
The Summit is expected to identify the key theme of economic cooperation of the CIS member states in 2012. In 2011 this theme was enhancement of food security. It is assumed that the theme of the next year will be cooperation on information and informatization. Summit participants will discuss the issues related to enhancing the role of the CIS observer mission during presidential and parliamentary elections and referenda which will be held in CIS member states in 2012 and select the cultural capital of the Commonwealth of Independent States in 2012.
