The preparations for the important political action – the 2012 presidential campaign are under way in towns and villages of the country. Currently, public organisations and associations hold the meetings and citizens form initiatives groups to nominate most worthy candidates for presidency and conduct the gatherings to support their presidential nominees.
The Balkan Velayat Football Federation and the Checkers National Centre of Turkmenistan held a joint meeting at the Nebitchi cultural centre in Balkanabat town to nominate a candidate for the presidential election. Specialists and workers of a number of local institutions and oil and gas enterprises participated in the meeting together with members of the abovementioned organisations.
The proposal to nominate Head of the Nebitgazduypliabatlayis Trust of the Turkmennebit Gas Concern Gurbanmammet Mollanyyazov as a candidate for the presidential election was put on the meeting agenda.
Those speaking at the meeting characterized G. Mollanyyazov as a talented and initiative manager who had significantly contributed to developing the oil and gas industry and promoting the sport and physical culture movement in the region and approved the proposed candidate.
Thanking for the nomination G. Mollanyyazov assured that he would spare no effort to justify the confidence granted to him.
The relevant resolution was adopted during the meeting and forwarded to the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of Turkmenistan.
An initiative group held the first meeting in the conference hall of the Ashgabat Khyakimlik to nominate Minister of Energy and Industry Yarmuhammet Orazgulyev as a candidate for the presidential election. Specialists and workers of the industrial and power enterprises participated in the meeting. The meeting was conducted in accordance with established procedures.
Those speaking at the meeting highly evaluated the candidate’s managerial abilities, his services and contribution to developing the industry and energy industry and his outstanding personal qualities and characterized him as a good family man. The meeting participants adopted the decision to nominate Ya. Orazgulyev as a candidate in the presidential election.
Thanking for granting the confidence, Ya. Orazgulyev assured those present that he would spare no effort and would apply his knowledge and experience to justify it.
The minutes of meeting and the application for registration of the initiative group were submitted to the Central Commission for Election and Referenda.
An initiative group held the first meeting in the administrative building of the Geokdepe cotton spinning mill to determine the presidential nominee for this initiative group. Citizens of a number of towns and etraps of Ahal Velayat participated in the meeting.
The main agenda items included the election of the initiative group leader and the proposal to nominate Director of the Geokdepe cotton spinning mill Saparmyrat Batyrov as a candidate in the 2012 presidential election.
Exchanging views during the meeting, the participants characterized S. Batyrov as a talented manager who enjoyed profound respect and a good family man and highly evaluated his professional skills and outstanding personal qualities. Noting that S. Batyrov had significantly contributed to the economic growth of Geokdepe Etrap, the initiative group members approved his candidacy for the 2012 presidential election.
Expressing gratitude to giving the vote of confidence, S. Batyrov assured that he would apply every effort, experience and knowledge to justify it.
