As is reported, the preparations for the presidential election are in full swing in towns and villages in Turkmenistan. Currently, public organisations and associations hold the meetings and citizens throughout the country form the initiative groups to nominate most worthy candidates for the 2012 presidential election and conduct the gatherings to support their presidential nominees.
The nature conservation organisation and the association of the societies of hunters and fishermen held a joint meeting at the Turkmen Agricultural University in Ashgabat to nominate Minister of Water Industry Annageldi Orazberdievich Yazmyradov as a presidential candidate. Specialists of the Ministry of Water Industry together with representatives of the abovementioned associations participated in the meeting.
The meeting participants characterized A. Yazmuradov as an initiative, responsible and experienced manager. Highly evaluating his services and contribution to developing the water industry, they adopted the decision to nominate the Minister of Water Industry as a candidate in the 2012 presidential election.
A. Yazmyradov thanked those present for granting the confidence and said he was fully aware of his responsibility and apply every effort to justify it.
After the voting concluded, the relevant resolution was adopted and submitted to the Central Commission for Elections and Referenda of Turkmenistan.

An initiative group held the first meeting in the conference hall of the Mary state power plant in Mary to nominate Director of the Cotton Growing Research Institute of the Ministry of Agriculture Yagmyr Amandurdyevich Orazov as a presidential nominee.
After electing the initiative group leader, the meeting participants considered the proposal to nominate Ya. Orazov as a presidential candidate.
The meeting participants characterized Ya. Orazov as an experienced scientist, who is known well in Turkmenistan and other countries, conducts research in the cotton sector and provides methodological and practical assistance to cotton growers. Highly evaluating the candidate’s personal qualities and characterizing him as a good family man, the meeting participants adopted the decision to nominate Ya. Orazov as a candidate for the 2012 presidential election.
Ya. Orazov cordially thanked the meeting participants for granting the confidence and promised to apply every effort, experience and knowledge to justify it.
The minutes of meeting and the application for registration of the initiative group were submitted to the Central Commission for Election and Referenda.

A meeting involving representatives of representatives of the association of consumer societies and agricultural workers of the country to support the nomination of Dashoguz Velayat Deputy Khyakim in charge of the agricultural sector Rejep Bazarov as a candidate in the 2012 presidential election was held at the Ak Bugday Etrap Khyakimlik in Ahal Velayat. The decision to nominate this candidate was adopted during the joint meeting of representatives of the abovementioned association and agricultural workers in Ashgabat on December 19.
The meeting was held in accordance with national law in the assembly hall of the Etrap Khyakimlik. This meeting as well as other events taking place in the framework of the important political campaign was held in an open and transparent atmosphere which enabled the meeting participants to freely and actively consider the major agenda item.
The chairman of the meeting presented the candidate’s biography. The meeting participants highly evaluated R. Bazarov’s managerial skills and experience of working in the agricultural sector and his professional and personal qualities.
Taking the participants’ recommendations into account, the meeting adopted the decision support R. Bazarov’s nomination as a candidate for the 2012 presidential election.
