President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov congratulated health care and medical industry workers of Turkmenistan on their professional holiday.
The Saglyk State Programme that specifies the key areas of developing the national health care system and medical industry, as well as the important tasks on popularizing healthy life style in the country and improving people’s health was adopted on July 21, 1995.
Congratulating medical specialists on the Day of Health Care and Medical Industry Workers, the President of Turkmenistan noted that in order to implement the grandiose reforms in this sphere, the legislative basis had been strengthened with the aim to open up wide prospects to implement those changes. Due to the reformation of the health care system, we prevented many diseases. As a result of the propaganda work that is carried out with the use of the advanced methods, peoples' perceptions about health has changed.
The President noted that on occasion of the Day of Health Care and Medical Industry Workers and the 19th anniversary of adoption of the Saglyk Sttae Programme, a Hospital with scientific and clinical centre of cardiology, an Emergency Centre and medical vehicles enterprise would be put into operation. Moreover, the foundation of the Centre of Neurology designed for 120 places, the Center of Trial Production and Supply, the Centre of Morphology, and the Center for Prevention of Dangerous Infectious Diseases will be laid in the Turkmen capital.
Medical centres, which will be put into operation in velayats, etraps, and rural areas, will make a significant contribution to protection of people’s health. The President emphasized the development of the health care and medical industry would be a priority of the policy of the Turkmen state.
