President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov chaired a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers, during which he drafts of a number of documents and domestic policy issues were considered.

Presenting the meeting agenda, the President said that the draft documents related to the Caspian Sea would be considered first.

The IV Caspian Summit will take place in Astrakhan in the Russian Federation on September 29. The Summit agenda is expected to include the discussions and signing of the draft agreements, including the agreement of cooperation on hydrometeorology of the Caspian Sea, the protection and efficient management of water and biological resources of the Caspian Sea and the prevention and elimination of emergency situations in the Caspian Sea. The heads of a number of departments presented the reports on these issues.

The Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers presented the reports. They focused on the draft State budget of Turkmenistan for 2015 and the measures taken to beautify the capital city. In particular, it is planned to lay out a park with a total area of 700 hectares in the south of Ashgabat. The building works are to be performed by the Asgabat abatlayys-gurlusyk production association at the request of Ashgabat Hyakimlik.

The information on the preparations for the nationwide yovar, which will be held on September 27, was presented. The necessary organizational work was being carried out in all the regions of the country to ensure that this action would be held properly. in particularly, the areas in Ashgabat and its vicinity, where young trees would be planted, had been selected.

The report on the progress of seasonal agricultural campaigns and the measures taken to accelerate the pace of harvesting cotton and sowing winter wheat was presented. It was reported that farmers in Lebap and Dashoguz Velayat had launched the rice campaign.

The information on the measures taken to increase hydrocarbon reserves and boost oil production in the country was presented.

The report on the programme of the cultural actions to mark the opening of new facilities in Ashgabat was presented. The opening ceremony of new facilities and buildings built along Atamyrat Niyazov Avenue in the framework of the 12th construction stage projects, including the office building of the State Development Bank, the office building and shopping centre of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs and apartment houses for 1,072 dwellers built at the request of ministries and departments, will take place on October 1.

President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Decree on the Kurban Bairamy. in accordance with the document, the celebrations will take place on October 5,6 and 7 and the day of October 7 is announced a day off.

The report on the construction of cotton mills in the regions of the country, namely in Serahs Etrap in Ahal Velayat and Gurbansoltan Eje Etrap in Dashoguz Velayat, in the framework of the national industrial development programme was presented.

The report on the completed and planned repair works at Mary state power plant, Turkmenbashi power plant, Seidi power plant and the state power plants in Balkanabat and Avaza was presented.

The information on the preparations for the Day of German Economy in Turkmenistan, which will be held at the Mizan Business Centre in Ashgabat on October 2, was presented.

The report on the measures taken to strengthen and modernize the material and technical base of the rail sector, in particular the purchase of specialized wagons for the Demirelchy Closed Joint-Stock Company of the Ministry of Rail Transport was presented. It is planned to purchase 250 sealed freight carriages, tanks for petroleum products and open carriages.

Upon concluding the meeting, during which other important issues of the domestic policy were considered and the important documents were signed, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov wished the meeting participants good health, wellbeing and every success in their work.
