The important social and political campaign that started in Turkmenistan three months ago is coming to an end. In three weeks polling stations throughout the country will open the doors for Turkmen citizens, who will come there to exercise their right to vote for presidential candidates on February 12, 2012.
The presidential election campaign is underway these days in accordance with the laws of Turkmenistan. The presidential candidates and their authorized representatives meet with the electorates and appear on national television and radio channels using the equal rights vested by the Law of Turkmenistan on the Election of the President of Turkmenistan.
Minister of Energy and Industry Yarmuhammet Oraggulyev met with his constituencies in the conference hall of the cultural centre in Ruhabat Etrap.
Opening the meeting, the chairman of the election commission gave the floor to the candidate’s authorized representative A. Orazmammedov. Informing the meeting participants of the major events of the candidate’s professional life, he characterized Ya. Orazgulyev as an experienced and energetic manager and highly evaluated the candidate’s personal qualities.
Presenting his election campaign, Ya.Orazgulyev dwelt upon its priority aspects. Focusing on the tremendous growth potential of all the sectors of the national economy, the presidential candidate underlined the need to continue modernizing the fuel and energy sector and diversifying gas transportation infrastructure through using advanced technologies and equipment. Regional specialization and modernization of the agro-industrial sector will contribute to developing rural areas. Priority will be given to such sectors as education, science, culture, health care and integrated development of the younger generation.
