President of Turkmenistan attends building premieres in Ashgabat
The festivities to mark the opening of new buildings and facilities which are put into operation in honour of the 20th anniversary of independence of our country are continued in Ashgabat. The ceremonies of opening Bitarap Turkmenistan Avenue after reconstruction, the Children’s World shopping and entertainment centre and the Winter Sports Complex took place with the participation of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The venue for the ceremony of opening the city highway, which serves as an essential element of transport infrastructure of the Turkmen capital that dynamically develops and beautifies with every passing year was decorated festively. Numerous ceremony participants, including young Turkmen citizens – the future of independent neutral Turkmenistan gathered together there. The Chairperson of the Mejlis, the Vice Premiers, high-ranking military and law enforcement officials, the Ashgabat Khyakim, the heads of national ministries and departments, Turkmen diplomats working in foreign countries, heads of diplomatic missions accredited to our country, representatives of the public organisations, journalists and citizens of Ashgabat greeted President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, the initiator of the grandiose reforms and changes launched throughout the country in the epoch of new Revival.
Girls dressed in national costumes presented bouquets of wonderful flowers to the Turkmen leader. A musical and dance composition performed by artistic groups from Ashgabat added bright colours to the ceremony.
Cordially greeting ceremony participants and, first of all, younger participants of the festivities, the Turkmen leader congratulated them on the opening of this important facility and cut the ribbon. When the bus with the Turkmen leader and his young companions were crossing 10 Yyl Abadancylyk Street, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov drew attention of the children to one of the original architectural attributes of modern cities telling citizens the air temperature, humidity and atmospheric pressure. The construction designed as a big thermometer is stuffed with state-of-the-art meteorological devices. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov told the children in detail for what purpose this device was used and said such modern devices would appear on many highways throughout the city in the near future and make its architectural look more diverse.
Then the cortege headed for the new building of the Children’s World Centre which amazes by its beauty and originality. It was built by the Ronesans Company at the request of the Altyn Asyr enterprise of the Ministry of Trade and External Economic Relations on Garassyzlyk Street in the district of the Turkmen capital which can be rightfully called the world of happy childhood.
The Children’s World shopping and entertainment centre dressed in festive attire greeted numerous guests. An enthusiastic atmosphere reigned, and children’s voices, joyful songs and music were heard there.

Young artists were dressed as the fairytale characters of the Turkmen and other peoples of the world.
Girls dressed in bright national costumes presented bouquets of wonderful autumn flowers to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The Turkmen leader accompanied by children headed for the open-air arena to watch the fairytale about the adventures of Aladdin and Jasmine who found the magic jar and release the gin. They asked the gin to fulfil three dearest wishes. One of these wishes was to dance in the Cinderella’s ball, the second one was to participate in the ceremony of opening the wonderful Children’s World Centre in Ashgabat and meet with witty Yratygulak and the third one was to grant good health and long life to dear President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov – Arkadag who had presented young citizens of Turkmenistan the beautiful building of the Children’s World Centre which could be compared with a fascinating magic palace. Happy children danced and sang the song dedicated to the Turkmen leader.
Heading to the main entrance to the children’s shopping and entertainment centre, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov cordially thanked young artists for their bright performance. Then the Turkmen leader cut the ribbon to the appluse of numerous children and entered the building.

On the third floor the President visited the hall with playing machines where children who had learnt how to use these machines joyfully greeted President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The Turkmen leader congratulated them on the opening of the Children’s World Centre.
Numerous young visitors of the Centre cordially and heartily thanked the Turkmen leader for his unceasing concern for young citizens of Turkmenistan and the wonderful present the Turkmen leader had made for the anniversary of independence of the Turkmen state.

Thy were the Ice Circus international group, the Rockettes dance group of figure skaters from Finland and four hockey teams – Ak Bars and Neftyanik from Russia, Maribor from Slovenia and Pohale Novy Targ from Poland, who had been invited to the Turkmen capital to share the joy of the nationwide celebrations with the people of Turkmenistan. During three days they will compete on the ice arena in Ashgabat.
