A presidential candidate, Director of the Geoktepe cotton spinning factory Saparmyrat Batyrov held a meeting with the constituencies at the Ashgabat Cinema and Concert Centre.
After opening the meeting the chairman of the velayat election commission gave the floor to the candidate’s authorized representative H. Danaev. He informed the meeting participants of the candidate’s biography and professional and personal qualities and characterized him as a competent, diligent, experienced and energetic manager able to effectively fulfil the assigned tasks.
Presenting the key provisions of his election programme, S. Batyrov dwelt upon the priority aspects of the foreign policy of Turkmenistan, the ways to enhance the economic strength of the Turkmen state through developing the fuel and energy, agricultural, textile, transport, tourism and other sectors.
