Turkmenistan will be represented at the 43rd Session of the UN Statistical Commission which will be held in New York (US) from February 27 to March 4, 2012.
The Statistical Commission was established 65 years ago shortly after the creation of the United Nations Organization. The UN Statistical Commission as an agency of the UN Economic and Social Council develops integrated methods and standards for collecting and analyzing statistical data and coordinates statistical work within the UN System and promotes development of national statistics.
In accordance with the Resolution of the President of Turkmenistan Chairman of the State Committee of Turkmenistan for Statistics A. Mammedov will represent our country at the 43rd Session of the UN Statistical Commission.
