A meeting with a delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan A. Jumabaev, took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
During the meeting, the representatives of the foreign-policy department of the neighbouring friendly country were briefed on the key vectors of the internal and foreign policy of the Turkmen state as well as the grandiose changes taken place in our country on the initiative of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
The issues of mutually beneficial partnership in the trading and economic sector, agricultural and power industries, the transport and communications sphere as well as humanitarian area were discussed within the framework of political consultations. In this regard the meeting participants underlined the crucial role of the Turkmen-Kazakh intergovernmental commission.
The sides expressed the mutual interest of the both countries in further development of the political dialogue, including in the format of regular consultations between the foreign-policy departments of Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan. Paying particular attention to widening cooperation within the authoritative international organizations, the guests highly appreciated the constructive and peace-loving policy pursued by the Turkmen leader that had become a key factor to ensure stability in the Central Asian region.
Within the framework of their staying in Ashgabat, the representatives of the Kazakh Delegation visited the Main National Museum of Turkmenistan, the National Turkmen Carpet Museum and landmarks of the Turkmen capital.
