The II Turkmen-German Medical Forum has started in Ashgabat continuing the dialogue launched in November of the last year in Munich.
The delegation led by Deputy Minister, Head of the Foreign Trade Department, Ministry of Economics and Technology of the Federative Republic of Germany Dr. Karl-Ernst Brauner arrived in the Turkmen capital to take part in the forum. Among the members of the delegation are the heads of the governmental structures, international organisations, state institutions for developing business and medicine, as well as prominent German scientists and specialists in the sphere of healthcare and medical industry, experts of the companies developing new technologies for this sphere.
Particular attention during the meeting was paid to the urgent spheres of the modern medical science and higher education, traditions and innovations of medical education, advanced informative and communication technologies, the role of modern high-technology aids in teaching clinical disciplines, etc.
The major part of the reports and presentations was dedicated to the particular achievements in implementing the state policy of Turkmenistan in the healthcare industry that promote strengthening the material and technical basis of the industry, increasing the level of medical services rendered to local population, and opening new pharmaceutical enterprises using healing plants growing in Turkmenistan for production of medical products.
Upon conclusion of the first day of the forum, participants visited the International medical centers in the Turkmen capital.
