The festive ceremony of opening of the 2012-EXPO International Exposition was held in Yeosu, Korea. Turkmenistan takes part in the exposition.
The meeting of the official representatives of the Turkmen delegation with the high-ranking officials of the Republic of Korea took place within the framework of the official reception given at the Expo-city built for holding one of the largest international events.
Then, the masters of art of the Republic of Korea performed a grandiose show at the huge amphitheater that brought together thousands of spectators and Guests of Honour to the International exposition.
The main goal of the exposition of Turkmenistan arranged at the International pavilion is to reflect one of the priority thematic vectors of the exhibition – “Development and protection of coastal zones”. Its idea is not only to attract attention to the successful national experience in preservation of ecological wellbeing, efficient use of water resources, protection of the plant, animal and underwater kingdom of our country, but also to underline the deep relations of nature with culture and traditions of the Turkmen people, their spiritual heritage.
