The International Conference “Globalization of Financial Markets and Regional Aspects of Sustainable Growth” closed in Ashgabat. The representative forum organized by the Government of Turkmenistan jointly with the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank on the initiative of the Turkmen leader brought together the heads and representatives of authoritative international and regional financial structures, leading world banks, financial and banking institutions of various countries, a number of world leading companies as well as sectoral ministries and departments, state and joint stock commercial banks, and the Union of Industrialists and Manufacturers of Turkmenistan.

The agenda of the last day of the forum included the important aspects of developing the private and financial sectors. Underlining the significance of the measures on improving the banking and financial spheres and widening the work of the private sector taken by the Turkmen state with the aim to ensure the long-term sustainable growth of the national economy, the representatives of leading financial organisations expressed their readiness to continue close collaboration with Turkmenistan.
