From October 8 to 10, the first group of the mission of the World Health Organization Regional Office for Europe visited Turkmenistan to review the National Tuberculosis Control Program.

The aim of the mission is to conduct a comprehensive epidemiological review of tuberculosis and multidrug-resistant tuberculosis.

The group also met with coordinators of the TB-RRIS programme in Turkmenistan, which is an electronic system for maintaining records and reporting on tuberculosis.

The delegates visited medical institutions in the city of Ashgabat and the Ahal velayat.
