The foresters of Dashoguz velayat have set a goal to fully supply their nurseries with planting material. These days, they are collecting seeds of tree and shrub species, and seeds of coniferous trees are being harvested.

In accordance with the requirements of the National Forest Program and other large-scale socio-economic state programs of Turkmenistan, necessary work is being carried out to preserve and develop biological diversity and natural landscapes. Specialists consider afforestation as one of the main ways to maintain clean atmospheric air and improve the microclimate.

The plant life of Dashoguz velayat, including within the framework of the annual nationwide tree-planting campaign, is consistently enriched with many species of valuable deciduous and coniferous plants. These plants are characterized by rapid growth, resistance to drought and diseases, the ability to release oxygen, and purify air from pollution throughout the year, while also having a high degree of ornamentality. Regarding desert plants, they are actively used in comprehensive state efforts to create new forest zones that prevent the transfer of dust and salts and contribute to enriching the local plant and animal life.

It should be noted that newly inhabited areas that have emerged along Lake "Altyn Asyr" also contribute to enriching the region's flora and fauna. The water surfaces have become favored by birds, while the thickets along the shores attract animals.
