Farmers of the Dashoguz velayat successfully completed the sowing of winter wheat. The seeds of the crop were placed on 145 thousand hectares of land. Thanks to good organization and effective use of the extensive fleet of modern agricultural machinery available in the region, the sowing campaign was carried out within an acceptable time frame.

In the region, much attention is paid to the introduction of high-yielding varieties into production. Thus, the basis for the current seed material was winter wheat varieties, whose seeds have high varietal purity, good growing energy and germination, resistance to various diseases. This factor, along with timely agrotechnical measures for crop care, allows us to expect a good wheat harvest next year.

The Dashoguz velayat is one of the country's major grain granaries. Thanks to the successful implementation of state programs to create a modern agro-industrial infrastructure in the country, building up production capacities for storing and processing agricultural products according to international standards, a full cycle has been created in the northern region, including sowing, harvesting, storing and processing grain.

This was also facilitated by the construction in recent years of many new high-tech specialized enterprises for storing and processing grain, and the consistent refill of the fleet of agricultural machinery with new modern units.
