The Turkmen National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under the President of Turkmenistan and the regional project of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) signed the Memorandum on Mutual Understanding and Cooperation in the Legal Sphere.
Cooperation in this sphere is traditionally one of the key components of the constructive dialogue established between Turkmenistan and authoritative international organizations, including the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).
Thus, the Turkmen National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under the President of Turkmenistan and the Project of the German Society for International Cooperation have successfully collaborated within the last years in accordance with the Memorandum on Mutual Understanding and Cooperation in the Legal Sphere. Numerous seminars, round-table meetings, and study tours were arranged within the framework of the GIZ Regional Programme on Support of Legal and Judicial Reform in Central Asian Countries with participation of international experts. The comments to some legislative acts, including the Civil Code o Turkmenistan were drafted jointly with Turkmen lawyers.
Participants of the meeting, during which the Memorandum on Mutual Understanding and Cooperation was signed in order to implement new GIZ regional programme, underlined with satisfaction the fruitful character of the established partnership and called for continuation of efficient cooperation in the sphere of legislation, including exchange of experience and information.
