The delegation led by the Deputy Director of the Regional Office of the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) for Central Asia, who arrived in the Turkmen capital, was received at the ministries and departments of the country.
During the meeting at the Turkmen National Institute for Democracy and Human Rights under the President of Turkmenistan the parties exchanged their views on the existing situation and prospects for enhancing efficient cooperation given the positive experience of partnership and scheduled plans for the future.
It was noted during the meeting that concern about a person, his rights and freedoms served as a key factor for democratic development of our country, the main and fundamental priority of the state policy pursued under the leadership of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov that had won a wide recognition and authority in the world community. This has been proved by the International conference on Refugees in the Muslim World successfully held in Ashgabat this May.
As is known, particular attention in this area is paid to cooperation of Turkmenistan with foreign partners and authoritative international humanitarian structures, including the ICRC. In this regard the meeting participants called for enhancing mutually beneficial dialogue, and expressed the aspiration for exchanging experience.
The members of the delegation of the International Committee of the Red Cross were received at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan, where the parties discussed the urgent issues of humanitarian cooperation.
