A "Round Table" titled "Arkadag şäheri – döwrebap ösüşleriň şäheri" was held in the building of public organizations in Arkadag city. The event was organized by the City Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan.
During the event, participants discussed the country's achievements in the concluding year and the successful development of Arkadag city, which has gained broad international recognition as a model of modern urban planning that integrates the most advanced technologies.
Speakers at the event noted that this year, Arkadag city, created based on the "smart city" concept, was honored with three awards at the World Smart City Expo in South Korea. Notably, it was the only city to receive the award for "Outstanding Achievements in Smart City Development." For its commitment to innovative urban planning and exceptional quality standards, Arkadag also received a prestigious award from the European Society for Quality Research (ESQR) based in Vienna – the "Quality Choice Prize 2024" in the Diamond category. This award recognizes outstanding achievements in quality management across areas such as urban development, healthcare and energy efficiency. It highlights Arkadag's successful combination of cutting-edge technologies with environmentally friendly practices, creating a model for sustainable urbanization.
Another significant achievement of this year was the international registration of products from Arkadag city's medical cluster and the recognition of its trademarks by the International Bureau of the World Intellectual Property Organization, confirmed by a special certificate. This medical cluster is based on comprehensive innovative technology aimed at conducting scientific research in pharmaceutical development, medical technologies and equipment, as well as providing modern education in this field using global best practices to protect citizens' health.
Certificates recognizing achievements in infrastructure development based on Internet of Things (IoT) technologies, intelligent transport systems, energy efficiency solutions, and environmental monitoring and management were awarded to Arkadag city by companies and research centers from South Korea, India, Turkey, Romania, Russia and Uzbekistan during a recently held international scientific-practical conference titled "Smart City: Management Technologies, Digital, Smart and AI Technologies, Security, Economy."
During the "Round Table," it was emphasized that Arkadag city is being developed with a forward-looking vision and stands as a source of pride for the Turkmen people.
