Event in honor of the 655th anniversary of poet Nesimi

The staff of the State Children's Library named after Bazar Amanov held an event titled "Beýik türkmen şahyry" at Specialized School No. 76 in Ashgabat. The event was dedicated to the 655th anniversary of the poet and philosopher Seyit Nesimi.

The librarians spoke to the students about the life and creative works of the poet, who created his works in Turkic, Arabic and Persian languages. In turn, the students recited Nesimi's poems and engaged in a lively exchange of questions and answers related to his works.

Nesimi is the poetic pseudonym of the poet whose real name was Seyit Imadeddin. His works in genres such as ghazals, rubaiyat, and tuyug gained widespread fame in the Middle East and Central Asia. Nesimi's poetic heritage includes numerous lyrical and philosophical verses that reflect his broad worldview and deep humanism. Nature and the beauty of the surrounding world served as sources of inspiration for the poet on his path to understanding life and the universe. Nesimi's humanism was closely tied to his recognition of humanity's value and noble purpose, as well as an awareness of the boundless potential of individuals. His poetry celebrated human beauty, intellect, and reason.

For Nesimi, human was the center of creation, its crowning achievement. He believed that anyone seeking to comprehend truth must strive to understand human, his motivations, aspirations, and pursuit of beauty and goodness.
