Not long ago, a delegation of specialists from Turkmenistan returned from Bangkok, where they took part in the second regional meeting of the countries of the Asia-Pacific region. The event was organized by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific in cooperation with the International Organization for Migration.
The conference was attended by representatives of a number of foreign states and regional organizations. The meeting discussed the implementation of the Global Compact on Safe, Orderly and Legal Migration.
Speaking during the meeting, the head of the Turkmen delegation, Deputy Chairman of the State Migration Service of Turkmenistan, emphasized the wise policy pursued by the country under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in the field of migration, and also spoke about the positive experience accumulated by the organization in cooperation with reputable international structures.
