The construction and industrial complex is one of the priority segments of the national economy. Its key sectors - industrial, construction, including road construction, chemical, energy - are developing at an accelerated pace. This is confirmed by the indicators achieved by the end of 2024. In particular, for January-December last year, the complex fulfilled the plan for production of products and work performed by 105.8 percent.

The Ministry of Construction and Architecture fulfilled the plan by 108.6 percent, the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production for the same period produced products and carried out work for a total of one billion 708 million manats, the Ministry of Energy fulfilled the plan by 104.6 percent, the State Concern «Türkmenhimiýa» - by 114.6 percent, the State Agency for Management of Road Construction - by 106.4 percent, and the Ashgabat City Administration - by 115.8 percent.

In total, 86 large industrial and social facilities were commissioned across the country in 2024. As President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted at an expanded meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the results of 2024, the high pace of economic development was maintained. GDP growth amounted to 6.3 percent, including 1.5 percent in the industrial sector. The volume of investments increased by 9.1 percent. At the expense of all sources of financing, 86 industrial and social-cultural facilities were opened in 2024, and one million 145 thousand square meters of housing were commissioned. Thousands of families celebrated housewarming parties. The construction of the second stage of the Arkadag «smart» city, built on the initiative of Hero Arkadag, was continued. The President of the country also emphasized that major projects related to the fuel and energy complex are being implemented, in particular, the construction of the Serhetabat-Herat gas pipeline, called «Arkadagyň ak ýoly», which is the main link in the Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India gas pipeline, has been launched. In addition, the second stage of the Baherden and Lebap cement plants, the Balkan-Dashoguz high-voltage power line and power plants, modern drinking water purification facilities have been commissioned. In a beautiful corner of the Kopetdag foothills, the Magtymguly Pyragy cultural and park complex and a monument to the poet and philosopher have been opened, a complex of new buildings for the Berdimuhamed Annayev specialised military school, international medical centres and other facilities have been put into operation. Thus, the development indicators of the construction and industrial complex of Turkmenistan for 2024 testify to the effectiveness of the policy pursued by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov in this area.
