The meeting with the members of the delegation arrived in the Turkmen capital led by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Australia to Turkmenistan Ms Margaret Eileen Twomey took place at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

During the meeting particular attention was paid to the prospects of the intergovernmental relations at the bilateral and multilateral format. According to the guests Australia is interested in establishing full-scale cooperation with Turkmenistan. The meeting participants expressed mutual interest in developing trading and economic relations and humanitarian contacts. The issue on improving the contractual and legal basis of the bilateral relations was also discussed during the meeting.
