Head of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan spoke at the TEIF 2025 forum

The Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan (CCI), along with the State Concerns “Turkmengaz” and “Turkmennebit,” as well as the Economic Society “Turkmen Energy Forum,” co-organized the International Forum TEIF 2025 in Kuala Lumpur, emphasizing the strategic importance of the Asia-Pacific region for the further development of the country’s foreign economic relations.

The choice of Malaysia’s capital as the venue for the event symbolizes Turkmenistan’s aspiration for active engagement with the rapidly growing economies of the region and deeper integration into global investment processes.

In his speech, CCI Chairman Mergen Gurdov noted that this forum is a logical continuation of Turkmenistan’s efforts to expand international investment dialogue.

The successful forums held in London (2023) and Abu Dhabi (2024) laid a solid foundation for attracting foreign investments and establishing mutually beneficial ties between foreign investors and Turkmen entrepreneurs. The agreements reached at these events are already being implemented or have significant long-term potential.

Special emphasis in the CCI presentation was placed on the results of the official visit of the Honorable President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov to Malaysia in December 2024.

During the visit, priority areas of bilateral cooperation were identified, including transport, culture, education, tourism, and sports. Two cooperation agreements signed within the framework of the visit between the CCI, the Malaysian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the International Chamber of Commerce of Malaysia became a starting point for activating business relations between the two countries.

Expressing confidence in fruitful discussions at the forum in Kuala Lumpur, the CCI confirmed Turkmenistan’s readiness to further expand mutually beneficial trade, economic, and investment ties with the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.
