The Ministry of Health and Medical Industry of Turkmenistan, the Country Office of the World Health Organization and the Representative Office of the United Nations Children's Fund launched the European Immunization Week.

This year, the week will take place under the slogan “We can achieve immunization for everyone", emphasizing the need for speedy achievement of high indicators of fair vaccination in all communities. Within the framework of the campaign, information about vaccines and how important it is to cover each person with measures to protect health through immunization.

The European Immunization Week in Turkmenistan will open with a meeting to review progress in the implementation of Turkmenistan's National Immunization Program for 2024-2028 and discuss changes to the national vaccination calendar. It is also planned to hold a "Round table" with the participation of specialists from UN agencies working on health programs, medical professionals and students.

The event will highlight the importance of the European Immunization Week, which is held annually to promote the idea that immunization is essential for the prevention of diseases and the protection of life.
