The Government of Turkmenistan and the UN Office in Turkmenistan held a series of working meetings dedicated to strengthening the reporting system for the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals in the country. The meetings were held in a hybrid format at the end of April of this year and brought together representatives of key ministries and departments, UN agencies.

The main document that guided the meeting participants was the Roadmap for Actions to Strengthen Reporting on the Implementation of SDGs in Turkmenistan for 2025–2027. The document defines a strategic approach to improving monitoring mechanisms and aligning national priorities with global sustainable development goals. The discussions covered a number of important aspects of sustainable development, including education, environmental protection, and food security.

As a result of four day discussions, participants agreed on further steps to ensure more comprehensive reporting on SDG implementation in Turkmenistan.
