The main producers of valuable crops in the region are farmers of the S.Turkmenbashi etrap. This year, they plan to sow rice on four thousand seven hundred and fifty hectares in the daykhan association "S.A.Nyýazow", and on 2800 hectares in the daykhan association "27 Oktýabr". For the second year in a row, the private structure — "Ykbal açary" business society will also grow pearl grain in large quantities.

In general, the farmers of the velayat carefully prepared the areas for sowing food crops. Much attention was paid to the process of preparing seed material, land planning, high quality of sowing work should be ensured by the use of modern high-performance equipment.

As before, the basis of the seed material this year was made up of the rice varieties “Nöküs-2” and “Bereket”, which are distinguished by high yields, resistance to diseases and excellent taste qualities.

Thanks to the created conditions, today the Dashoguz velayat has all the capabilities for the successful production of valuable raw materials. In the region, where a full production cycle for growing and deep processing of the crop has been established, over 35 thousand tons of rice are produced annually. In addition to all this, a high-tech rice cleaning plant built on the territory of the S.Turkmenbashi etrap allows processing the grown crop into finished high-quality products without losses.
