Ashgabat is preparing to host the XXIV Multidisciplinary International Exhibition and Conference "White City Ashgabat" on May 24-25, 2025. This significant event will become a platform for demonstrating the potential and dynamic development of the Turkmen capital in such key areas as urban development, industry, science and education. The organizers are the Hyakimlik of Ashgabat city, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Turkmen Energy Forum company.
The program includes plenary sessions, panel sessions and bilateral meetings to discuss strategic areas of sustainable development of Turkmenistan in general and the city of Ashgabat in particular. Key topics include digitalization of urban infrastructure, environmentally friendly construction, development of clean energy, modernization of industry and transport network, mechanisms of public-private partnership, as well as the introduction of innovations in the education and healthcare systems through the creation of technology parks and medical clusters.
Ashgabat – a center of sustainable development and a platform for investment prospects
The conference will open with a plenary session entitled “International Year of Peace and Trust: White City Ashgabat – City of the Future and Opportunities,” which will focus on the role of the capital as an example of sustainable development and innovative technologies.
The pearl of Central Asia, Ashgabat, is recognized as one of the world's leading cities in terms of comfort and amenities, which is confirmed by its inclusion in the UNESCO Creative Cities Network in the Design category and its registration in the Guinness Book of Records as the city with the highest concentration of buildings covered with white marble.
Participants will discuss the development strategies of the city as a “smart” and inclusive metropolis, the introduction of digital and “green” technologies, the development of a transport ecosystem and urban environment. Particular attention will be paid to the contribution of Turkmenistan to urban standards, attracting investments and international cooperation. Development of urban infrastructure of Turkmenistan: achievements and prospects
The session “Modern Construction and Industry: Technologies and Financing” will be devoted to issues of modernization of the construction industry and industrial production, introduction of advanced technologies in the production of building materials and effective strategies for financing infrastructure projects.
The session will cover aspects of international industrial cooperation and digitalization. Special attention will be paid to innovations in geological exploration and extraction of mineral resources, also mechanisms for attracting investment in infrastructure and production projects.
The business program will also address issues of public-private partnership (PPP) as an effective tool for the development of construction, industry and transport infrastructure, including a discussion of PPP models, legal and financial mechanisms.
The third session of the conference is "Technological innovations in the modernization of the construction, industrial and energy sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan". Its participants will discuss key issues of the implementation of advanced technologies and digital transformation strategies in the construction, industry and energy sectors of Turkmenistan, as well as current tasks of modernizing production processes in these sectors. Particular attention will be paid to the role of digital technologies in improving the efficiency, safety and environmental friendliness of production.
The session will also touch on the importance of cooperation between business and educational institutions to prepare highly qualified specialists who will be able to work in the conditions of rapidly changing technological realities. Participants will consider modern practices of training engineering and technical personnel who are able to effectively apply innovations in their fields.
Much attention will be paid to state support for innovation processes, including investments in digital infrastructure and incentives for the development of new technologies, such as artificial intelligence (AI). In particular, issues of introducing AI into the industrial, construction and energy sectors will be discussed in order to optimize production processes, predict risks and increase overall productivity.
In addition, the session will address issues of modernizing road infrastructure using energy-efficient and smart technologies, which is designed to improve the transport system and increase the resilience of the urban environment to climate change.
Particular emphasis will be placed on technological innovations in key sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan, including the introduction of advanced technologies and the development of human capital in construction, industry and energy.
