The exhibition dedicated to the construction and building materials industry of the Republic of Turkey opened at the Exhibition Center in Ashgabat.
The cabinet ministers, representatives of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan, the heads of ministries and departments, the diplomatic representatives and missions accredited to Turkmenistan, public organisations as well as journalists attended the solemn ceremony of opening the exposition that is to offer new incentives for developing traditionally friendly, mutually beneficial Turkmen-Turkish cooperation.
The musical performances of the artistic groups of the Turkmen capital anticipated the official ceremony of opening the specialized forum creating the atmosphere of holiday of the friendship between the two fraternal peoples bounded with the spiritual and historical ties as well as the long-term creative and fruitful cooperation.
An Address of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the exhibition participants was presented during the ceremony. In his address the Turkmen leader pays particular attention to informing partners about experience gained by Turkish construction companies and successes they have achieved in this sphere.
“The grandiose construction projects are implemented in Turkmenistan that stipulate the positive dynamics for developing all spheres of the national economic complex, including construction and building materials industry”, underlined the Turkmen leader noting that Turkish builders had taken an active part in raising administrative and industrial buildings, the social and cultural facilities, in road construction.
Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to Turkmenista Shevki Mutevellioglu noted in his address that this event would open up new opportunities for widening bilateral cooperation and would allow Turkish producers presenting their projects, learning more about prospective and rapidly developing Turkmen market.
Speaking during the ceremony, Head of the Main Department for Export of the Ministry of Economy of the Republic of Turkey Tarik Sonmez, who arrived in the Turkmen capital leading the delegation of Turkish businessmen, expressed gratitude to the Government of the two countries for the support and creation of the most favourable conditions for establishing full-scale and long-term cooperation in the foreign-economic and goods turnover spheres.
The tradition exhibition that demonstrates the potential and achievements of the construction industry of the Republic of Turkey, has turned into a large professional event in this sphere. The forum organized jointly by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Turkmenistan and the Meridyen International Exhibition Company helps Turkmen partners to receive all necessary information at first hands. The leading representatives of the construction industry from Istanbul, Ankara, Antalya, Izmir, Trabzon, Bursa, Mersin and other regions of Turkey arrived in Ashgabat to take part in the forum.
Over 70 Turkmen companies presented their pavilions at the Exhibition Center. The leading Turkish enterprises manufacturing a wide range of goods, including construction equipment, panel blocks, pipes, metalware, finishing, paint and varnish, facing and insulating materials, sanitaryware items, electricals, etc. showcased their products at the exposition divided into thematic sections.
