The state visit of President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to the People’s Republic of China has started. Minister of Foreign Affairs Yang Jiechi, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the PRC to Turkmenistan Xiao Qinghua, Head of the Protocol Department and other officials of the People’s Republic of China greeted the Turkmen leader at the Beijing Capital International Airport.
The members of the Turkmen government delegation and Turkmen young citizens, who study at higher educational institutions in China, heartily greeted the Turkmen Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov there.

On the first day of the visit to the People’s Republic President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a meeting with Turkmen young citizens who studies at the institutions of higher education in such disciplines as electronics, medicine, architecture, tourism, etc. Among them were future graduates of the largest research and training centres such as the University of Science and Technology Beijing, the China University of Petroleum, the Shanghai Tongji University, the Wuhan University of Science and Technology, the Huazhong Teachers College and the Guangzhou Nanfang Medical University. As of today, a total of a thousand of Turkmen young people study in different cities of China.
The young people enthusiastically welcomed the Turkmen leader. The President of Turkmenistan cordially greeted the meeting participants and asked the students about their studies, living conditions and plans for the future.

Everyone knows that professional and academic achievements can be gained through studying thoroughly and hard. It’s like to dig a well with a needle: move forward to the goal step by step, work tirelessly and laboriously.
You as somewhat of plenipotentiary representatives of your country must promote worldwide the glory of prominent ancestors and best achievements of your people, said the Turkmen leader addressing the Turkmen students. You need to learn and know well the national culture, Turkmen history, our heritage in order to be its worthy descendants and successors of wise traditions and moral precepts.
The Turkmen leader also called upon to study culture of other nations and get acquainted widely with their literature and art.
