President of Turkmenistan conducts video conference

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov conducted a regular video conference with the Chairperson of the Mejlis, cabinet ministers and khyakims of the regions and Ashgabat.

The meeting agenda focused on the priority issues in social and economic development of the country, the existing situation in the regions and Ashgabat and the progress in implementing the comprehensive programmes of reforms, particularly in the industrial construction sectors.

Ahal Velayat Khyakim D. Myratberdiev reported on the progress of seasonal agricultural activities, particularly the pace of the cotton picking campaign. The Khyakim informed the Turkmen leader of the measures taken to improve further the social and living conditions of local citizens as consistent with the objectives set by the President and presented the projects of a new settlement to be built in the spirit of the epoch of new Revival to the Turkmen leader for consideration.

Chairperson of the Mejlis A. Nurberdieva informed the Turkmen leader of the activities carried out by Turkmen parliamentarians to lay the legal foundations for the ongoing ambitious social and economic reforms and the work on further improvement of the quality of life of Turkmen citizens.

Balkan Velayat Khyakim S. Satlykov reported on the work carried out in the region and the fulfilment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions to improve social and living conditions of local citizens and develop industrial infrastructure in the region.

Vice Premier B. Hojamuhammedov in charge of Balkan Velayat reported on the existing situation in this region.

Dashoguz Velayat Khyakim E. Orazgeldiev reported on the progress in implementing construction projects and the preparations for the ceremonies of putting new facilities into operation in the region.

Vice Premier M. Nurmammedov reported in detail on the pace of the seasonal agricultural campaigns, the measures taken to store livestock forage for the winter season and the preparations for the I International Cotton Fair which would take place in Ashgabat.

Lebap Velayat Khyakim Ya. Yaylov reported on the work carried out in the region, the progress in implementing the comprehensive development programmes which provided for the construction of various facilities and buildings throughout the region and the preparations for the Neutrality Day celebrations.

Mary Velayat Khyakim K. Gurbanov reported on the work carried out in various sectors of the economy, including the agricultural sector. The Khyakim reported also on the existing situation in the region, the measures taken to improve social and living conditions of local citizens and progress of the construction of facilities and buildings to be put into operation to mark the Neutrality Day and presented the projects of new buildings and facilities to be built in the near future to the President for consideration.

Vice Premier D. Orazov reported on the fulfilment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions and the progress in implementing construction projects throughout the country. The Vice Premier presented the projects for the construction of various facilities in the capital city and the regions and the projects for reconstruction of buildings and facilities to the President for consideration.

Ashgabat Khyakim Sh. Durdylyev reported on the progress in implementing construction projects in the Turkmen capital and the measures taken to modernize transport and other infrastructure and promote the large-scale urban development programme.

Vice Premiers S. Toylyev, N. Shagulyev, O. Gurbannazarov, M. Yazmuhammedova, A. Gochyeva rerpoted on the fulfilment of the Turkmen leader’s instructions and the work carried out in the sectors under their supervision.

Summing up the discussion, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov underscored the importance of the issues considered during the video conference and emphasized that the fulfilment of the assigned tasks was essential to further dynamic socio-economic development of the country and a dignified life of citizens of Turkmenistan.
