President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov presented the anniversary medal Türkmenistanyň Garaşsyzlygynyň 20 ýyllygyna to the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the Vice Premiers who had made a significant contribution towards the progress of the sovereign Turkmen state, enhancement of its international prestige. The awarding ceremony took place at the Oguzkhan Presidential Palace Complex on the eve of the celebrations in honour of the 20th anniversary of independence of Turkmenistan.
Opening the meeting, the Turkmen leader cordially and heartily congratulated the ceremony participants and the Turkmen people on the upcoming national holiday. Wishing good health, family wellbeing, peaceful and happy life and outstanding success in the activity for the benefit of the Motherland, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that the unity, solidarity of our people, the large-scale reforms in the economic and political spheres’ of life of our country brought Turkmenistan today to new heights of progress.
Noting that the prestige of our country in the world arena as a neutral state pursuing the policy of peace and good neighbouring was growing and friendly and brotherly relations with all peoples of the world were actively developed and enhanced now, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov emphasized that Turkmenistan also demonstrated significant progress in all spheres of the national economy in the epoch of new Revival. And this was a product of inspired and constructive labour of the Turkmen people.
Then the President presented the high government awards to the Chairperson of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan and the Vice Premiers in a solemn atmosphere to the applause of those present.
