President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the United Nations Deputy Secretary General, Chairman of the UN Counterterrorist Department Vladimir Voronkov who arrived in Turkmenistan to participate in the events dedicated to National Turkmen Horse celebration.

Congratulating on this remarkable holiday, the guest wished the Head of Turkmenistan success on the way of development and popularization of the world glory of ahalteke horses, which are precious heritage of Turkmen nation that entered the golden fund of human civilization.

Having expressed the gratitude for the congratulations, Turkmen leader stated with delight growing dynamics of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the UN, which is proved by fruitful character of cooperation resulted in number of successfully realized and currently undergoing joint projects.

Having noted that he is glad to meet with the President of Turkmenistan, the country that recommended itself as reliable partner of the United Nations, high-rank representative of the United Nations highlighted active position of Turkmen State in international dialog on solution of important problems of the present. This is quite valuable practice and required by the world community as universal mechanism of joint activities for single purpose – the peace and harmony on the planet.

In the end of the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and the UN Deputy Secretary General expressed the confidence in successful continuation of the cooperation, which is to be reflected in new joint projects aimed at successful realization of national programmes and at the achievements of the Global Goals of the Millennium.
