An exposition dedicated to winter wheat and cotton has been opened in the State Museum within the framework of the events timed to the celebration of the Independence Day of Turkmenistan. The opening of the exhibition was preceded by a conference, during which were highlighted the features of conducting agriculture in arid conditions, history and modern trends in agro production.

Illustrated the subject of reports exhibition exhibits: artifacts related to the history of the Great Silk Road, ancient tools of farmers. On the way of life and traditions of water and land use narrates the ethnographic section. The subject carpets and picturesque canvases organically supplemented the exposition.

The attention of visitors is attracted by a handful of cotton seeds found in Dehistan during a scientific expedition. Scientists date the find at least two hundred years old. Its subsequent study will help to get an idea of the level of cotton growing of that time.

Photo works provide an opportunity to make a historical digression, presenting a retrospective of the cotton harvest of the 1930s. The next section is devoted to today's achievements in the field of selection work, variety testing, as well as cultivation and processing of cotton. Book lovers could appreciate a rich thematic palette of publishing products.
