Cotton growers in Darganata etrap have harvested over 6,000 tons of ‘white gold’, having reported on the fulfillment of a state order for raw cotton production. Timely completion of necessary agricultural operations in the cotton fields covering 3,500 hectares, close and fruitful collaboration among farmers, machine operators, drivers, and sustainable farming are the keys to success achieved by cotton producers in Lebap velayat’s northern etrap.
Tenant farmers in Lebap and Magtymguly Daikhan Associations effectively contributed to the triumph, having considerably exceeded their cotton production targets - the figures are more than 400 tons and 120 tons respectively above the target.
Among the leaders with spectacular results, are cotton producers from Lebap Daikhan Association O. Ovezova and P. Tachmammedova who harvested over 10 tons of ‘white gold’ (52 centners per hectare) from a 2-hectare field and 8 tons of cotton (50 centners per hectare) from a 1.5-hectare field respectively.
Rice growers in this etrap have achieved another remarkable success, having completed harvesting 100 hectares of rice fields and produced 506 tons of ‘pearl grain’ (with the target figures of 465 tons).
