It was mentioned that composition of Intergovernmental Turkmen – Korean Commission for trade, economic, scientific and technological cooperation from Turkmen side, which is to support the expansion of beneficial bilateral cooperation, has been approved according to the resolution signed by the Head of the State recently.
Steadfast measures for further dynamic development of interstate cooperation are taken. Activity of Turkmen – Korean friendship groups support the improvement of fruitful contacts between our countries and nations as well as to exchange of practice in law-making activity.
High level of bilateral relations in political, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres are the key factors of steadfast development of interstate dialog. The willingness of the Republic of Korea to active cooperation in three priority vectors of Turkmen diplomacy – water, transport and energy, has also been noted.
Work of the leading Korean companies in our country, which also participate in the implementation of the projects of construction and modernization of refinery and petrochemical complexes, is an example of successful partnership. In this regard, productive character of the session of joint Intergovernmental Committee, which was held in the beginning of the year and aimed at specific result, has been highlighted.
Having informed that it is planned to sign about four dozens of interstate, intergovernmental and inter-departmental documents during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Korea, the Vice-premier informed that relative organizational work is carried out at present.
In this regard, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that recently, Turkmen – Korean relations enter new level. Interstate dialog is successfully developed under competent international and interregional organizations and structures.
Speaking of this, the Head of the State focused on the necessity of maximum implementation of the potential of Turkmen – Korean cooperation in economic and industrial spheres, expansion of constructive business relations and investment activity, implementation of new perspective joint projects.
Having highlighted that while following the course toward the industrialization, Turkmenistan is interested in creation of production facilities working on new efficient and environmentally friendly technologies and advanced developments. The President noted the importance of mastering of experience of Korean partners in this direction.
In this aspect, petrochemical complex for production of polyethylene and polypropylene in Kiaynly, which was built with participation of large Korean companies, was called as visual example of efficient cooperation. Transport and logistic sector as well as telecommunications seem to be perspective vectors of cooperation.
Humanitarian sphere, especially scientific and educational fields, are an integral part of Turkmen – Korean relations. Number of bilateral documents, which are to activate cooperation in this direction, are planned to be signed during the state visit of the President of the Republic of Korea to Turkmenistan.
Turkmen leader ordered the Vice-premier, the foreign Minister to provide high level of preparation to coming state visit of the President of the Republic of Korea, during which the visit of some velayats of the country is also planned.
