The President of Turkmenistan receives the Head of Sattel
President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received the Head of Sattel (Germany) Christoph Reis.

Having expressed the gratitude for spared time, the guest congratulated the Head of the State on National Turkmen Horse Celebration, having expressed sincere delight with grandiose expansion of the events in honour of legendary ahalteke horses.

It was highlighted that there is great interest in ahalteke horses, which received excellent results in classic equestrian sports, in the world these days. Number of European countries, including Germany, has ahalteke breeding centres. In this regard, it was noted that active participation of Turkmen horses and riders in prestige international competitions and exhibitions would give new impulse to the development of horse breeding in Turkmenistan, which became recognized world centre of this industry today.

Having expressed the gratitude for congratulations and good words, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that Turkmenistan is always open for efficient cooperation with all interested foreign partners including in horse breeding and equestrian sport, which are paid with special attention in our country. Ahalteke horses are true pride and priceless heritage of the nation, an integral part of its rich history, the Head of the State said, having highlighted that today, legendary ‘heaven’ horses are dedicated companions of Turkmen nation.

During the meeting, the President of Turkmenistan and his guest exchanged the opinions on perspectives of cooperation in equestrian industry, having spoken for strengthening of business links, which would support further enhancement of the glory of ahalteke horses, which are recognized by right as the phenomenon of national and world culture, model of grace, beauty and speed.

The Head of Sattel gave high appraisal to large-scale work expanded in Turkmenistan and aimed at the revival, preservation and continuation of ancient national traditions of breeding of purebred ‘heaven’ horses, wide popularization of this unique breed in the world and stimulation and development of equestrian sport.

In the end of the meeting, the guest has congratulated the Head of the Turkmenistan again on wonderful holiday and wished new success in his versatile activity for the sake of the country and nation.
