Second leg of country’s sky running cup was finished by the run to the peak of Dushak - Eridag Mountain (2,448 meters). The height difference at the distance was 2,000 meters. Around 50 sportsmen, including school and university students of the capital, mountain climbing lovers applied for participation in the competition. Students and coaches of National Institute of sports and Tourism Batyr Amadov, Gozel Atayeva and Alena Durova take part for the second time in the competitions organized by the Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs of Turkmenistan and Agama Alpinist Club.

The distance of sky run was divided into three stages. Members of referee committee recorded the time of covering the distance at 1,100 and 2,000 elevation points and at the top of the mountain. The youngest sky runners have finished at the first lap. More experienced sportsmen were admitted to further ascending if the participants fell within time limits.

Eleven sportsmen have managed to reach the top of the mountain. They contested for the prizes. Master of sports, numerous winner of Cup competitions Alekper Ahmedov has shown the best time in sky running. He has reached the top of Dushak Mountain for 2 hours and 14 minutes. Atageldy Amanov was 14 minutes behind the leader. The third and fourth positions were taken by Arslan Annamamedov and Sergey Arkhipov respectively. Despite his young age, 12 years old Alan Abayev has climbed 2,448 meters height for 3 hours 33 minutes. Experienced Anastasia Loskareva won the run among women. She spent 2 hours 54 minutes at the distance.

The third leg of 2019 sky running competitions will be held at the top of Harlasang Mountain this autumn.
