The President of Turkmenistan pardons more than 760 convicted citizens

President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov signed the Order on pardoning of convicted persons in honour of sacred Gadyr Gijesi, according to which 764 people have been released from further main sentence as well as from additional sentence in the form of living in certain places.

Signing the document during the session of the Government on May 29, the President of Turkmenistan ordered Prosecutor General B. Atdayev and other heads of law enforcement agencies to take relative measures for pardoned would be able to be released from prisons and return to their families.

Having pardoning actions, the Head of the State said, we give an opportunity to people who regret what they have done to start new life and to atone their guilt by honest work and to make the input in work for the country development.

Turkmen leader requested the hyakims of velayats, etraps and cities as well as to other officials to take necessary measures for employment of pardoned citizens, to whom he wished to work honestly for their families and country.
