Turkmenistan is celebrating its Independence Day. A grand military parade and spectacular celebrations took place in Ashgabat’s central square. The celebrations featured performances by members of the Galkynysh Equestrian Group, theater actors, famous singers and dance ensembles. Among those joining the colorful procession were honorary elders, members of the public, specialists working in different sectors of the national economy, professionals in the fields of culture, education, health care, science, and sport as well as representatives of the country’s regions.
