Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Nikol Pashinyan discuss priorities of interstate dialog

President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov had a meeting with Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan who arrived in Turkmen capital for participation in the session of the Council of the CIS Heads of the States.

Welcoming the Head of the Government of friendly country, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov highlighted that our country pays great attention to strengthening of traditional friendly and beneficial relations with Armenia.

Having expressed sincere gratitude for cordial welcome, the high-rank guest noted that he is glad to visit Turkmenistan, which is confidently moves toward the progress.

During the meeting, the sides exchanged the opinions on priority directions of expansion of Turkmen – Armenian cooperation. President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan have spoken for diversification of cooperation, realization of joint projects and activation of contacts between business circles of two countries.

The interlocutors have also expressed a unanimous opinion on importance of fruitful dialog in humanitarian direction, in particular in health protection, education, sport and tourism spheres. The sides expressed mutual interest in regular international forums with participation of scientists and specialists of two countries.

Current subjects of regional and global agenda, which present mutual interest, were the topics of interested discussion. Special mention has been made on perspectives of cooperation under the Commonwealth of Independent States.

In the end of the meeting, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan confirmed their commitment to the course toward the activation of interstate dialog.

Vice-premier of the Republic of Armenia M. Grigoryan, Foreign Minister Z. Mnatzakanyan and Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructure S. Papikyan have also taken part in the meeting.
