A package of Turkmen-Japanese documents signed in Tokyo
The ceremony of signing bilateral documents took place in Tokyo in frames of the working visit of the government delegation of Turkmenistan headed by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to Japan.

Among the signed documents are the Framework Agreement between the State Committee for Water Management of Turkmenistan and Itochu Corporation (Japan) on selling earthmoving machinery; the Framework Agreement between the Türkmenawtoulaglary Agency of the Ministry of Industry and Communication of Turkmenistan and Sumitomo Corporation (Japan) on procurement of vehicles; the Memorandum of Understanding between the Türkmengaz State Concern and Kawasaki Heavy Industries Ltd. (Japan) and Sojitz Corporation (Japan) for the design and the construction of the second complex of the gasoline plant; Annex No. 2 to the Framework Agreement between the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern and Mitsubishi Corporation (Japan) and Gap Inşaat Ýatirim ve Diş Ticaret Anonim Şirketi (Turkey) on the construction of a new ammonia and carbamide production plant in Turkmenistan; the Agreement between the Türkmenhimiýa State Concern and Sojitz Corporation, TTCL Public Company Limited, Rönesans Endüstri Tesisleri Inşaat Sanaýi ve Ticaret Anonim Şirketi on the design and construction of the concentrated phosphorus fertilizers production workshop at the Turkmenabat chemical plant.

The prospects of the Turkmen-Japanese partnership in various fields were included into agenda of the bilateral meeting held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan.

The Memorandum between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry of Japan on cooperation in the sphere of infrastructure (with a roadmap) and the Updated and Reissued Agreement No. 4 on cooperation between the State Bank for Foreign Economic Affairs of Turkmenistan and the Japanese Bank on international cooperation have replenished the legal framework of the bilateral cooperation.

Upon completion of the working visit, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov headed to the Haneda International Airport and left Tokyo for Ashgabat.
