Turkmenistan Foreign Ministers holds number of meetings in Dubai and Abu Dhabi

On November 23, Foreign Minister of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov who is currently on business visit to the UAE had a meeting with the State Minister of International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates Rim Bint Ibrahim Al Hashimi in Dubai.

Perspectives of multidimensional Turkmen – Emirati cooperation have been discussed at the meeting. The sides have demonstrated similarity of approaches to solution of current issues of global agenda as well as expressed an intent to continue positive cooperation on the platform of competent international organizations.

The importance of coming World Exhibition EXPO 2020 Dubai, to which Turkmenistan prepares comprehensively, has been highlighted.

On November 24, Vice-premier, Head of the Foreign Ministry of the country Rashid Meredov had a meeting with Deputy Prime Minister, Ministers, Executive Secretary of the Office of the President of the UAE Sheikh Mansur Bin Zayed Al Nahayan in Abu Dhabi.

During the talks, the sides noted high level of cooperation between two countries, efficiency of trade and economic relations and highlighted the importance of exchange of practice in the sphere of high technologies, urban construction, transport and communication.

The meeting with the State Foreign Ministers of the UAE Anwar Mohammed Gargash took places thereafter.

Having highlighted the importance of opening of the General Consulate of Turkmenistan to Dubai, the ministers exchanged the views on the key aspects of bilateral partnership and outlined the vectors of activation of cooperation in energy, transport, education, sport and tourism sphere.

Aspects of expansion of the dialog between foreign departments of two countries including regular political consultations have been discussed during the meeting, the website of the Foreign Ministry of Turkmenistan informs.
