Winners of Children’s Art Competition Themed ‘Turkmenistan: A Land of Neutrality’ Announced in Astrakhan Region
On February 18, a prize-giving ceremony took place in Astrakhan Region, the Russian Federation to award the winners of the Children’s Art Competition devoted to ‘Turkmenistan: A Land of Neutrality’. First, second, third, fourth and fifth graders of Magtymguly General Education School in the village of Funtovo, Privolzhsky District had been invited to take part in the competition organized by the Consulate of Turkmenistan in the city of Astrakhan, (the Russian Federation).

Among those attending the prize-giving ceremony were senior officials of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Ministry of International and Foreign Economic Relations of Astrakhan Region, the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Astrakhan, members of national societies, and others.

Fifth-grader Arina Umarova is the grand prize winner of the competition. The winners include Ralif Makhmudov, Ramina Kalieva and Ildar Aynazarov. The four best young artists from Magtymguly General Education School in the village of Funtovo received valuable prizes and certificates of honor. Commemorative souvenirs were presented to all the students participating in the competition.

During the ceremony, representatives of Astrakhan Region and residents of the village of Funtovo extended their congratulations to the Turkmen nation on the 25th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality celebrated in 2020 and expressed their gratitude to President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for his care and multifaceted support given to fellow countrymen abroad, including those living in the Russian Federation.

After the official part, Sadaqah was given to mark the occasion.
