The heads of the diplomatic missions of Central Asian countries accredited in Paris, representatives of the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs and other departments of France, as well as the public and the media participated in the online discussion platform.
Speaking during the meeting, the head of the diplomatic mission of Turkmenistan presented the international initiatives put forward by President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to counteract the spread of coronavirus infection. Ambassador Shohrat Djumaev focused on the fact that due to the comprehensive measures taken by the Government of Turkmenistan, there are no confirmed COVID-19 cases in Turkmenistan.
The diplomat also acquainted the webinar participants with the progress in implementing Turkmenistan Preparedness and Response Plan for Acute Infectious Disease (COVID-19), which was drafted at the national level in cooperation with international organizations. As emphasized, this document was developed in accordance with the recommendations of the World Health Organization.
Underlining the importance of the UN General Assembly Resolution adopted on the initiative of the Turkmen leader on declaring 2021 as International Year of Peace and Trust, Ambassador Sh. Djumayev invited the webinar participants to take part in the representative forum “The Policy of Neutrality and Its Role in Ensuring International Peace, Security and Sustainable Development”, which will be held in Ashgabat this December.
