Early in the morning, the President of the country has come to the fields under crops of Watan Farming Association, Charjew etrap. The vehicle of the Head of the State has stopped at the land plot of farmer Berdymurat Narmedov.
Upon arrival, Turkmen leader has been warmly greeted by the Speaker of the Mejlis, Vice-premiers, Hyakim of Lebap Velayat, heads of ministries and departments, mass media. The President has expressed the interest in condition of the field, capabilities provided to the tenants and volumes of produced yield.
The farmer has said that he and members of his family produce the wheat at 20 hectares of land. Having expressed gratitude for governmental support and active care given to the farmers, Berdymurat informed that he expects to receive 4 – 4.5 tons from each hectare.
According to the farmer, his ancestors have been doing farming and livestock breeding; his father has one hectare of leased land planted with apricot trees. They also have cattle and sheep, which allow producing diary.
The President highlighted that honest work is a guarantee of wealth of every family, happy life of the nation and assured that the government would make all conditions for productive work of farmers and their social provision. Special focus has been made on the necessity of collection of wheat as soon as possible and without any loss, organization of uninterrupted transportation to reception facilities and elevators.

The Head of the State inspected reaping of crops by modern equipment, in particular the work of CLAAS and John Deere harvesters.
Strengthening of equipment and facility base of agricultural complex is one of the main directions of reform in agricultural complex. Due to this, technical fleet of the industry includes latest highly productive modern equipment from the famous foreign producers like Case, New Holland, John Deere, CLAAS, Minsk Tractor Plant and other.
Solving the issues of innovative engineering and technical provision, buying agricultural equipment of latest modifications with improved operational characteristics, the Government makes conditions for stable growth of production.
Having noted that used specialized equipment is a significant support for the farmers and helps improving the enhancement of work efficiency, Turkmen leader addressed relative officials with number of specific assignments.
Production made of cotton and wheat, seeding material, bread and bakery have been presented at the land of tenant Berdymurat Harmedov on occasion of the start of the winter crop harvest.
The exhibition has also demonstrated highly productive, early ripping breeds of cotton, winter wheat and other crops resistant to diseases, which have been bred by selectionists taking into account soil and climate conditions of this region.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers E. Orazgeldiyev who is in charge of agricultural complex told to the Head of the State about distinguishing features of exhibition production.
Having highlighted the necessity of development of seed production in the country and scientific studies, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov addressed the Vice-premier with number of specific instructions. It is necessary to attract actively personnel of scientific and research institutes, professors, teachers and students of profile universities.
Having wished success to the farmers, the President handed over valuable gifts. After, the Head of the State went to the lands of Tebigy Ekin Farming Association, which specializes in production of vegetable and potato.
Talking to Head of Farming association, member of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs Rustem Byashimov, the President expressed interest in specifics of work, condition of croplands, varieties of produced agricultural crops and its productivity.
Introducing activity of Tebigy Ekin to the Head of the State, the entrepreneur informed that Gala variety of potato has been sown on 370 hectares this February. It is planned to produce around 20 tons of potato from each hectare.
R. Byashimov noted that wide opportunities are created for fruitful work due to integrated government support of small and medium business. All of these supports the provision of food abundance, opening of new work places. At present time, more than 200 people work in th farming association.
Having stated with delight that entrepreneurs demonstrate activity in agricultural complex in the last years, President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov noted that it is very important for increment of variety of agricultural production and enhancement of export potential of the branch.
The Head of the farms informed that this highly productive potato is adapted to soil and climate condition of this region. Equipment used for reaping the crop is bought in Germany due to the government support.
Two types of equipment is used in harvesting – one cuts he haulm while another one extracts the tubers to the surface. After, potato is picked up by hands, put in sacks and sent to the place of destination.
Excess of the harvest planned to be delivered to the state is sold in the markets of the country. it support the increment of income of personnel working at the farm and enhance their motivation in work.
Talking to the managers of the farm, the President noted the importance of this business activity aimed at provision of food abundance.
Effectively using capabilities made by the government, the farmers make deserved contribution to provision of local market with fresh fruits and vegetables by their work, the Head of Turkmenistan highlighted.
After, having congratulated the tenant on generous yield of potato, the President presented him over valuable gifts and wished success in work. On occasion of current event, the exhibition of achievements of agricultural industry of the velayat has been expanded.
Steadfast improvement of social and living conditions of farmers makes positive effect on dynamics of development of agrarian section. Improvement of work and life conditions of the farmers, procurement of modern specialized equipment and accessories, provision of farmers with quality seeding material, introduction of advanced scientific and technical achievements to production are under permanent control of President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.
Owing to integrated government support of agricultural producers, programmes of import substitution and provision of citizens of the country with fresh fruits and vegetables are successfully implemented in the eastern region. Positive results in this direction are provided by rational use of land and water resources, consideration of climate conditions of each velayat, efficient use of modern methods of agriculture.
National entrepreneurs play important role in establishment of food abundance building modern high technology hothouse complexes and using innovations of processing industry in production.
integrated measures aimed at further improvement of profitability and technical rearmament of agricultural sphere, modernization of its infrastructure, increment of volumes of production, are necessary terms of formation of competitive industry.
The President notes that Turkmen state has to be self-sufficient in production of agricultural production, the markets have to be full with various food products satisfying demand of Turkmen citizens. At the same time, special attention is paid to implementation of scientific achievements allowing improving land fertility as well as to timely agricultural technical activities.
Having noted that decision on procurement of exclusive and highly productive agricultural equipment is the main factor today in the context of improvement of profitability of work of the farmers, Turkmen leader expressed gratitude to them for deserving contribution to strengthening of food safety of the country, provision of abundance on the markets and left the place of event.
